The accurate test and balance of a building insures that the
heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems are performing
at the design intent and operating at an optimum level of
performance.

Fluid
Balance International is TABB (Testing, Adjusting and Balancing
Bureau) certified. TABB is an international certification program
for technicians, supervisors and contractors engaged in testing,
adjusting, and balancing of all building environmental systems.
TABB maintains its high standards through continuing education,
certification testing, instituting new programs based on the
public's environmental needs, and requiring its certified professionals
to regularly upgrade their skill level to meet cutting edge
technological advances in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning
industry.
Engineers
and architects may specify TABB in their projects because they
are assured of value added experience and training which translates
into projects completed correctly, safely and on-time. TABB
can guarantee customer satisfaction because of their stringent
certification and testing processes.

Indoor
Air Quality (IAQ) is one of the newest focuses of TABB. TABB
is striving to discover new and improved methods of obtaining
IAQ. Currently, there are three basic strategies to improve
indoor air quality, even though each IAQ situation is different
and requires its own tailor made solutions: |
|
|
- Control
Pollutants at the source
- Dilution
/ Removal (I.E., improve ventilation)
- Treatment
of the Air (I.E., filtration)
|
|

|
Assess
and assist on a project from building design through construction
and occupancy to ensure the efficient performance of facilities,
systems and assemblies. Tests are performed on the mechanical
systems to measure energy output and efficiency. |

Benefits
of Commissioning:
-
Increased
energy efficiency
-
Improved
air quality
-
Reduced
operation and maintenance costs
-
Improved
building system control

A
work area in which the air quality, temperature and humidity
are highly regulated in order to protect sensitive equipment
from contamination. Clean rooms are important features in the
production of silicon chips, hard disk drives and other technologies
such as satellites. The air in a clean room is repeatedly filtered
to remove dust particles and other impurities that can damage
the production of highly sensitive technologies.
Depending upon the use of the cleanroom, testing and certification
is usually performed at initial installation and at specified
intervals. In the medical field, certification is performed
semi-annually or annually. Electronics firms may have independent
testing initially and whenever problems occur. But they are
typically monitoring their rooms daily with in-house personnel.
